Spanish painter of genre scenes, history paintings and portraits. Primary museums disagree on his birth year: the Prado and Sevilla catalogue give 1828; the Carmen Thyssen museum gives 1827. Identity, country and the two distinct Sevilla paintings are corroborated; the birth year remains unresolved.
