Valentin Serov. Миропомазание Николая II в Успенском соборе. Image source: WikiArt. Source rights label: Public domain. https://www.wikiart.org/en/valentin-serov/coronation-of-the-emperor-nicholas-ii-in-the-uspensky-cathedral-1896. Collected under the user's explicit WikiArt source approval of 6 October 2026; this approval is separate from the source's rights assertion. Full-frame proportional resize and JPEG compression. WikiArt records 1896; the existing catalogue retains 1897. Exact source object and creator IDs match; both recorded intervals are within the pre-1971 scope. No catalogue dates were rewritten. Exact native Р-10011, Anointing of Nicholas II in the Assumption Cathedral: the source and native photographs share the left golden priest and bowed emperor in ermine, the bearded dark-uniformed foreground man, women behind the carved lower-right railing, the upper-right red and gold baldachin, and identical chandeliers, folds and positions. The lower-right autograph reads Серовъ 97 in both photographs. WikiArt labels the image 1896, oil on canvas and Tretyakov Gallery, whereas the native inventory records 1897, paper/gouache/watercolour, 36.3 by 55.5 cm, Russian Museum. The complete visual identity and signature resolve this as the same image despite those source metadata conflicts; all source assertions remain evidence, with no rewrite of catalogue dates, medium or holdings. Contrast and saturation differ; the full supplied composition including signature and lower railing is preserved. Editorial same-work confidence exceeds 90%, based on the separately compared native and source photographs and exact object identity.
