In the Welsh and British legends of King Arthur, the character Morgana was either a powerful healer or a sinister enchantress. Kubinyi’s print captures this duality: a woman holds a cone on its point, striking a delicate balance. Although wearing a dress, her body is visible through the covering, mirroring the mythical character’s portrayal as alternately supportive or dangerous. The title may also reference the apparently floating objects along the horizon line, a real-world mirage known as a fata morgana.
